Default Quick Mesmer question

Just a quick question:

The two skills Conjure Phantasm and Conjure Nightmare, do they stack? Is it worth it to cast both of them? or just one or the other? Will you get a -13 degen? or will it take the higher of the two, and cap out at 8?

Casting both will result in -13 regen, but will only deal the damage of -10 regen.

-13 regen on an enemy with +4 health regeneration will result in a net of -9 regen.

They stack but you can't have more than -10 degen at a time. By having both on though, you can help to offset any regen they gain though. So with both on, you could still have a max degen on them as long as they have no more than +3 regen at the same time.

Ok, thanks a lot. So max total degen from ALL sources is 10 (after all sources of degen and regen are factored in)?

Same goes for regen, as its maxed at 10 (and energy regen/degen)

Don't forget to throw on Crippling Anguish and Ether Nightmare on there! Why stop at -13 when we can get to -24!

The other advantage to both of them is that they stack, so hex removal of 1 doesn't get the other.

I am partial to

[skill]life transfer[/skill] [skill]life siphon[/skill] [skill]conjure nightmare[/skill] [skill]conjure phantasm[/skill] topped off with [skill]illusion of pain[/skill]

Well that’s only 33 degeneration still room for a few more 3 skill slots left

This is why they capped degens at 10! heh. at 66 damage per second (tha'ts how degen is calculated) the target would have been dead in around 10 seconds with you just running around!

Hmmmm also conjure nightmare is only 15 mana not 25.

I don't see the point of having BOTH! It costs 35 energy and it is too spammable. Yes it's a disadvantage! Spammable + Low energy cost = Good. Spammable + High energy cost = Bad.
